Cookies

Every cookie, and what it is for.

One value that remembers your choice, and Google Analytics only if you said yes to it. No advertising cookies, no data brokers, nothing that follows you around other sites.

Essential

Always on, because the site cannot honour your choice without remembering it. This one is not technically a cookie: it is a local storage value, which never leaves your browser.

mojo-cookie-consent

Local storage, not a cookie · lasts 12 months, then we ask again

Remembers the choice you made in the cookie popup, so you are not asked on every page. Stored in your browser and never sent to us.

Analytics

Set only if you accept analytics. Decline and the Google Analytics script is never loaded, so these are never created: it is not loaded and switched off, it is simply absent.

_ga

Google Analytics · lasts 2 years

Tells one visitor apart from another so visits are not double counted.

_ga_QS5F9H3KGN

Google Analytics · lasts 2 years

Keeps the pages you view in one visit together as a single session.

Marketing

None. The popup offers a marketing toggle so the choice is on record if we ever add anything, and today nothing uses it. If that changes, this page changes first and we ask again rather than relying on a switch you flipped a year ago.

Spam protection

Sending the contact form calls Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies on google.com to tell people from bots. That happens on submission only, and is covered by Google’s privacy policy.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookies tab pinned to the right edge of any page. It reopens the popup with your current settings, and a change takes effect immediately. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets you to being asked again.

For everything else we do with data, including the contact form, see the privacy policy.
