British Driver Academy
The brief
The main Motorsport UK site has to serve licence holders, clubs, officials, championships, volunteers and the general public all at once. Anything aimed at one particular group ends up several levels down, competing for attention with everything else a governing body has to publish.
A campaign needs its own address. Something you can print, say out loud, and hand to somebody who has never heard of the organisation. It also has to feel like it was made for the person arriving, which a subsection of a governing body website never quite manages.

Inclusion Hub
The work
Get Started answers the first question anybody asks. An interactive tool matches people to a discipline across race, rally, speed, grassroots and offroad, and a venue finder shows them where it actually happens. Inclusion Hub covers the education route, mapping courses and qualifications from school age through to university, and is now growing into a wider education resource.
Motorsport Week pulls a fortnight of events from all over the country into one searchable place. Streetcar is the way in for anyone who owns a road car and has no idea it already qualifies. British Driver Academy is live as a holding page while Motorsport UK and the BRDC combine their young driver schemes into a single pathway, with the full site to follow.

Streetcar

Motorsport Week
The detail
Streetcar came to us already built, as did several of the championship sites. Moving them was harder than it should have been. They were WordPress, which normally means portable, but something in the setup tied them to the previous host, so they could not be rehosted and a working copy could not be taken away.
Rebuilding was the only route out. On Streetcar we quoted a reduced rate and spread it across twelve months, so the first year cost more than doing nothing and every year after cost considerably less, once the per-site monthly retainer stopped.
