A web studio in South East London, run by Ben Wood. Websites, platforms and digital products for people who’d rather cut out the middleman.

I’m Ben Wood. I’ve been running Mojo since 2011, designing and building websites, platforms and digital products for businesses of all sizes. Long enough to know what works, what doesn’t, and how to spot which is which early.
Mojo is small by design. I run every project personally, with a development team I’ve worked with for years. When you work with us you’re talking to the people doing the work. Not relaying messages through people who’ve never touched your project.
And yes, a few of the photos here are me at weddings. They were the best ones I had. More importantly, the dogs are very cute.
Every agency has them. Transparency. Collaboration. Integrity. Put them in a lineup and you couldn’t tell them apart.
So here’s what you can actually expect instead.
Every company says “we do this, we do this, we do this.” That’s not a website, that’s a list. We go deeper. What the business actually does day to day, what matters to its customers, then we build something that says it in their language.
Mojo started in 2011, selling door to door to businesses: turning up, explaining what we could do, and offering exceptional value for money to get our name out there.
Over time that built a loyal, solid client base, taking on higher quality, higher volume work year on year. We have been fortunate with a few key people who put our name forward when we were up against larger agencies. Sometimes we priced a job keener than we would have liked, because we understood the bigger picture: making a difference to certain clients opened doors. Call it greasing the wheels. Some of those clients enabled us to grow steadily alongside them by delivering more for less.
We work with clients of all sizes. We’re as happy turning around a high-quality site in a matter of weeks as we are building out large sites and platforms over months. It’s about working with each client to get them the best product for their budget.
You won’t find award badges here either. We were nominated once, for the Motorsport UK TV platform, but going meant a six thousand pound table in Spain to still just be a nominee if someone else had paid more. The record is what we’ve built for people. If you look at that and see the value in it, that’s the only verdict I’m interested in.
